For a second, I forgot my intention for Sacred Vessel, and I fell into perfectionist tendencies where I set high standards for myself and stopped enjoying it. I can get in this overanalyzing cycle and keep waiting for the perfect moment to act/create, but sometimes, the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of our lives.
I want to start at 100% when actually what my nervous system needs (because it is in freeze response) is to start one step at a time and start to build that energy up.
The key to succeeding in anything is to do it consistently and get 1% better every single day. So ask yourself, what are you doing to be 1% closer to what you want each day? via Cosmos

from Things I Wrote While No One Was Looking wrote in a beautiful letter, I’m not done evolving my craft. I will keep showing up in the spaces I’ve created.Intention Sacred Vessel: focus on practice for progress; as a recovering perfectionist, showing up is the most important part, whatever that looks like every day. Keep showing up.
Inspired by Sarita Walsh's 30 days of writing, I decided to get out of my head and into my hands; my creativity is asking me for presence and consistency to break self-doubt and resistance.
WHY 30 days of writing:
Reconnect with my intention.
Focus on progress and not perfection.
Break the barrier to start and start 1% better each day.
Using the ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ approach to track my progress
Have you written today?
Yes or No?
HOW:
I’ll be sharing small writing pieces on notes every day for the next 30 days, starting April 1. At the end of each week, I will send out a letter with the compilation of these notes and some things I have noticed about committing to these little practices at the end of each week.
CELEBRATE:
April 30, 2024

Hello friends, if you’re new here, welcome. I’m Liz, a designer, artist, and an explorer of life. Sacred Vessel is my playground; here, I share what I’m learning as I learn it- my reflections on creativity, being, healing, what is inspiring me, and a lot of things that I don’t know yet, but it would be fun! For more, check out my welcome letter.
