I’m on the other side of this challenge. 23 days have passed and writing everyday is helping me to see my weeks as chapters, and I’m really enjoying it, it has brought gratitude and unexpected excitement into my life to see what happens next, how I surprise myself, even with the most challenging parts.
“People think that wishes are ideas, but they are part of your heart. The very best part.”
This week was all about dreams for me and writing is a tool that helps me dream with my feet on the ground, one step in front of the other. When we write, we get clear, we codify, and when we codify, we remember.
So here is a little exercise to connect us with a new reality.
A writing exercise
Grab a blank sheet of paper and divide it into two parts; on one side, you will write what your ideal day would be like; on the other side, you will write what your actual day is like. Don't stress if when you compare the two columns, they are very different; the beauty of dreaming is that everything is available potential.
Now, you are going to take something from the column of your ideal day and think about how you can incorporate it into your day-to-day life.
Let's say you write that for you, an ideal day starts in nature; maybe a first step is to go for a walk in the nearest park every morning before work, or you start creating your little jungle at home. The little things make room for the big ones.
Hope it serves you as it did to me!
Here is the recap from this week's notes:
Day 15
I keep coming back to the same thought for the past weeks: becoming an expert in what is limiting us.
That’s where our power lies; in those things that continue showing up, it becomes so uncomfortable because it doesn’t want you to ignore it anymore; it needs your attention. Where attention goes, everything grows.
Day 16
There is no hurry, my love; every step, even if it seems small, is walking you home.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” — Lao Tzu
Day 17
I write to heal, to understand, to go deeper and softer. To notice and also to let go. To make room, to clear my thoughts, and to get clear with my thoughts.
I write because I love how it makes me feel. It is healing, is sacred. It gives me clarity, and it helps me count my blessings. It is an intimate moment I share with myself every morning. It’s to plan and to have fun.
Day 18
May our creativity be a sacred vessel for joy. For self-expression. for connection. For trust. for hope. For beauty. for safety. For curiosity. for finding our own voice. For reflection. For freedom. for stillness. For practice. For creation. for intuition. For healing. For trial and error. For making the mundane, magic. For exploration. for expansion. For coming home to ourselves. For play. for connecting with our inner child.
Day 19
It is liberating, courageous, and vulnerable to create from a place of full heart and soul.
There is no place for judgment or labels imposed by us or others, where our worth lies in who we are and not in what we do, the answers are there where we recognize our essence.
Who am I when no one is looking?
Who am I when I don't validate myself through external things?
Day 20
Ideas are divine energy looking for a vessel to come through; even though sometimes it feels like everything is already done, it is calling you for a reason; it needs your POV, your experience, your heart, your soul, your talent… Get out of your own way and open yourself to receive it. We deserve a life where we can see our dreams in reality.
Day 21
The promises I make to myself are the most important. Do what I say I’m going to do because if I cannot trust my own word, I will lose confidence in myself.
Day 22
Every relationship needs to grow in order to remain healthy and alive, especially the one we have with ourselves.
If you are new here, hello and welcome 🤍 I shared in my last letter that I’m starting a 30-day writing practice through April and you can read more about it here:
